BGNW – DNS-AS: Skalierbares SDN mit bestehenden Technologien

Thank you for giving the opportunity to speak at the BGNW Herbsttagung

28. – 29. September 2017
Tagungsort: Frankfurt/Main

In case you’re after the slides I presented: DNS-AS-20170926-public

Many thanks,
Wolfgang

CoreDNS – Support for AVC Resource Record

I am more then happy to announce that Miek Gieben took a stab to implement AVC Resource Record support for CoreDNS with pull request #480. CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains middleware. Each middleware implements some DNS feature, like service discovery.

Currently CoreDNS supports (among others) the following middlewares:

This is the next step forward in our journey to use DNS and the DNS-AS idea as a method for central policy control for application intent, no matter if it’s for network devices, operating systems or containerized environments.

Miek, many thanks for your support!

EFT – Early Field Test

Testing the waters?

We’re looking for interested early adopters to shape DNS-AS!
Now is the time to shape the solution, so you will love it later!

EFT Platform:

  • ASR1k
  • ISR4k
  • Catalyst 4k: Sup7E, Sup8E & Sup8LE, 4500x

Preferred DNS Servers:

  • ISC BIND
  • Microsoft Active Directory

Would like to join the party ??? Just drop me an email with:

  • customer name
  • configuration requirements
  • signed MUBTA agreement
  • Let me know your equipment requirements
  • A test plan would be great!

If you’re interested just drop me an email: wolfgang(at)cisco.com

Thank you,
Wolfgang
